Dallape Park was built in summer 2005. Before this, the area was a waste land for long: behind the youth house there was a gas station and a parking lot. It has been interesting to study how the paths are formed in this new space. The official route is crossing the park only once and there is a new street going on the lenght of the whole park. Finally, the first snow came in 27th of October this year. The snow helped for the first time to really see how people are finding their ways in the park. There was one main path formed in the center of the park. It goes from the Harjukatu corner to the crossing of Kustaankatu and Teollisuuskatu. Assumingly people are mainly using this path to go from the metro station to their working places or to their homes in Vallilla.

As usual, the first snow doesn't always stay on the ground and it melted this year, as well. But now that you know were the path is going to be formed, you can already see a slight trace on its place even without snow. For sure the path is going to be clearly seen the coming summer. The trace of the path is formed rather quickly on the ground and this new path is heavily used.
